The Anatomy of a Mother's Purse
Do you ever surprise yourself? This happened to me the other day.
I opened my purse and wondered, “how did I get here?” I looked inside and this is what I found:
A key to a house that I lived in three years ago.
Two applesauce packets. Of course.
No fewer than six pens and an unsharpened (!) pencil.
A zippered pouch filled with so many other miscellaneous items.
One of the girl’s rain boots. Seriously.
One hair clip.
One hair brush.
One business card holder filled with business cards for a job I haven’t had in two years.
One completely full notebook.
A sunglasses case.
One bobby pin.
One LEGO hair.
A sunscreen stick and lipstick.
(Not labeled: a wallet, because, well, that’s expected.)
Just a day in the life of a mom of four. And I like to think of myself as organized. Ha! I love my Cuyana tote for all its versatility and classic style, but perhaps it’s time for me to get one of these.
What’s in your purse at this moment? Tell me in the comments!
