Three Fun Things
As we approach the weekend, I find myself wandering around the internet, seeking out fun, new, interesting things. Here are three that caught my eye and might help distract you as Friday fatigue sets in.
The Fiddle-Leaf Fig Tree Is Out?!?
The Wall Street Journal declared an end to the much 'grammed about fiddle-leaf fig. Don't tell my two thriving figs! I gaze lovingly at them every single day, and while I may risk being behind the times, I have no interest in giving mine up. That said, The Wall Street Journal, recommended five potential replacements for the designers' pet-plant, including the Schefflera elegantissima, the Yucca guatemalensis, the dwarf Meyer lemon tree, Dracaena marginata and the Ficus longifolia.
Too many of these remind of house plants of my youth, however, the dwarf Meyer lemon tree is quite a beauty. Move over figs!
Birthday in a Bag
This is a birthday party in a bag, complete with a confetti card, balloons, candles, and a horn! I think it would such an adorable thing to send to a faraway friend when you can't celebrate with him or her in person. They will even handwrite the card for you!
Popcorn ON the Cob
How fun would it be to pop corn straight from a cob? You just stick these cobs into a paper bag (not provided) and into the microwave. This would be a cute hostess gift, especially for hosts with children.
Have a great weekend!
