Four Fun Backpacks for Back to School

Four Fun Backpacks for Back to School

The past couple summers, with babies in tow, the summers seemed to flow at an expected pace. This summer, however, has flown by. Maybe it's a sign of development among our crew? We have just two weeks left until Jack starts second grade. While I am a little sad summer is coming to a close, I also love the prospect of back to school shopping. This was a fun ritual spent with my mom growing up, and it's something I have been looking forward to with my kids.

The past two years, I have taken Jack on a mini shopping date to pick out his school clothes. We shop for as long as he is game, and we always include lunch and some sort of treat. It's a fun day for both of us.

This year, a new backpack is a requirement. I made the mistake of buying too large of a backpack for him last time and regretted it ever since. Fortunately, there are tons of options. Here are four bags I love for the elementary school set.

One trick I've learned is to ensure folders can fit in the backpacks. There are so many adorable preschool backpacks that would fit my second grader well, but they don't hold a folder. I have found that a 15" - 17" size seem to work well. All of those featured here should fit folders, but definitely be sure to check it out yourself.

Happy shopping!
